RAW ARTIST: Designer and Art Work Feature (Part 1)

Wednesday evening was such an awesome night at the RAW natural born artist event. Artist from various parts of Philadelphia showcased their raw talented skills in art, photography, dance, music and fashion. I was in attendance along with my bud Marisa, to support my friend Marise Chantale, who is an extraordinary up and coming fashion designer.

Birthday Girls Night Out.

The weekend maybe over, but Gods mercy, love and grace continues and never ends. So grateful for life and the added years he has given me. Who knows where I would be without him. I'm happy to still be here not by chance but by his love that endures forever.

MARCH into Spring: Shoe & Bag Feature From My Closet!

Could you believe that we're already in March?  Boy, these months are flying by so fast.
Yesterday, as I was leaving the house to run my errands, I stopped to notice what God had timed to grow out from the ground. Green little sprouts, life in which the earth is getting ready to birth out.
Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
Psalm 85:11-13 (King James Version)
With spring coming in, I have a feeling that we are going to see a lot of yellow. So I wanted to share my shoe and bag feature from my closet. Yeah, I know! It's about time I did one of these, right?
Danty Doll Flats by Poetic Licence
I thought these peep toe flats were the cutest shoes I've ever seen. I especially love the bow with the rhinestones. This shoe has so much character. Its fun, flirty and makes you want to sit outside on the swinging chair porch and sip some good ole' sweet tea and watch the sun go down. Mmm hmm...
These are by Poetic Licence. They have a variety of shoes that are unique in style which combines both the 1940's look with a touch of modern design.

"The spirit of Poetic Licence is a celebration of all women. Our footwear is designed with the hope of inspiring women to embrace their authentic beauty, express their own individuality, and invigorate a zest for life."- Poetic Licence

My favorite weekend/travel bag
Bag: GITANO  map duffle bag

I bought this bag at the Salvation Army, when I went to Michigan with my best bud.
I remember my sister having a similar bag, a long time ago when Gitano was popular.
The map bag was by Alviero Martini.
You can find a similar Gitano bag here
You can find the Danty Doll shoe here

Before I started in retail, I didn't have a clue or even the slightest interest in designer labels. I was comfortable in my thrift, no label, maybe buy those Old Navy jeans or get me a pair of Payless shoes, buyer mode. I still do, sometimes. Yet, I  like my items to have great quality whether it's designer or not.

Naturelle Me...Sunday Modest Feature!

I am so late with this post, I know. Sorry!

It was such a beautiful Sunday morning and I have all the reasons to thank God. Even when the body is weak, the spirit is willing and boy my spirit was willing. That is why I thank God every chance I get for awakening my spirit, getting me up each morning and starting my day. I was not feeling well whatsoever and did not want to get out of bed. I was getting hit with aches. A fever that was on and off and a sore throat. I felt terrible!
But my spirit was not having it at all. It was pushing me to get up and go to church. I obeyed. Got myself together, and said Lord I am going to praise you anyhow, despite how I feel. So, I phoned a friend to see if I can hitch a ride with her and visit her church. I am so glad I went. There was some coughing here and there while in worship, but that did not hinder me from giving God praise. I was feeling better. My throat wasn't as sore as it was before and I didn't feel as achy as I was that morning. I don't have much of my voice back yet but I know I will regain it soon.
I got a great word on God's faithfulness even when we are faithless. That is something most of us must work on. Having faith and stepping out on faith as well as looking to please God and not people. Lastly, to know that when God has done great things for you before, he will do it again. So don't doubt. Keep pressing and trust in him to help you reach the unreachable and do the impossibles that you thought could not be done. He is a can do God, not a can't do God. He's so able. His word says it in  Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. (King James Version) Also here in 2 Corinthians 6:8 Besides, God is able to make every blessing of yours overflow for you, so that in every situation you will always have all you need for any good work.(International Standard Version). So go on ahead and have faith and trust in the Lord. Watch and see how much you can conquer. You're in good hands and Allstate sure can't give you that, lol!
And now, my Sunday Modest Feature
Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

What Would You Wear With Your Doc Martens?

Dr. Martens boot in black.
These are my timberland boot replacement.
Comfy and not as heavy weighted as I thought it was going to be.
Outfit of choice with Doc. Martens

Charlotte Russe: Navy blue wax racer-back tank.
Brass Chain Necklace from thrift store.
Ten25 Distressed Skinny Jeans

Studded detail on back pocket
NY&Co. Motorcycle leather jacket with removable sleeves.
Extra detail in the back. I was thinking about removing it, but for now it's staying right there !

I was hesitant on picking these with the yellow stitching. It will take some time for it to rub on me.
Ok times up! I like it.

What would you wear with your Doc Martens? And what do you like about them?
