I finally have the pics from Philly Fashion Week Haute Couture Runway Show posted. Yippie!
It was my very first attendance to Philly Fashion Week and I gotta say, it was a good experience. I really enjoyed it. Philly is on the rise in the fashion scene for real! It is amazing to see the amount of great designers and talent coming to and from Philadelphia.
This year at Philly Fashion Week a total of 12 outstanding designers had their collections grace the runway. There were textures, shapes/structures and patterned details. Viewing the show, it looks like the fall trends will be leather, black, houndstooth, brocade, gold, metallic, nude and I believe a little galactic-nouvo military inspired wear.
The designers for the Haute Couture Runway Show were:
1.) TERANCHULA: Designed by the coordinators of the F.B.H Philly Fashion Week themselves: Kevin Parker and Kerry Scott. They introduced the debut of their women's line that night, showcasing a few form fitted garments in black, gold and shimmer. With a hint of snakeskin print.

2.) LAS SWIMWEAR: A swimwear collection designed by Larry Allen for both men and women who are not afraid of attention and to flaunt their, well you know. Jewels, assets and other estates.
3.) NINA STREETS DESIGNS: A mother and daughter designer duo of unique classy women's wear.
4.) FELIX RODIONOV: A designer from Ukraine. Yes, Ukraine. Made his way to Philly to feature his collection which consist of flattering and elaborate leather coats, trenches and moto jackets. There were some jackets with studded, grommet details, print and embellishments. All leather.
5.) MARISE ANGIBEAU: One out of three of my favorite designers of the night. Her self labeled, women's line consist of metallics (gold, silver and pewter), soft and vibrant pastels and romantic form fitted wear that says: A queen just entered the room, now watch her WERK!
I think that she's the one that folks need to watch for, Boop!
Yup, that's her rocking her gorgeous fro!

When you see this dress in person, you are gonna cry. |
6.) DRAMATIK FANATIC: An urban and edgy men and womens line created by Rashard, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the show. In fact, a fellow blogger (
one of the amazing folks I met, such a wonderful young woman with a great future ahead of her) pictured below:
We bumped into him and I was just talking to her about one of the designers (him) I really wanted to see and meet.
She pointed out to me a guy wearing a leather fringed outfit. When I turned around to look, I recognized the outfit and screamed in my inside voice " Girl, that's the guy I told you about." I'm sorry, but I had the right to be hype.
We approached him and just chatted away for a little, that I forgot why I left my seat. He is such a humble, down to earth and remarkable guy, who I believe will go far with his work. He is a rising celebrity designer who has dressed Fantasia Barrino, Dawn Richards, Po Johnson, BET host Keisha Chante and many more. In his line you will see textured, futuristic and structured leather jackets and bottoms, brocade and black on black on black. Oh of course, it's very Dramatik!

7.) BISHME CROMARTIE: The third favorite line I was excited to see. He is one of the youngest designers, hailed from Baltimore, Maryland whose designs has been seen on Keyshia Cole and Dawn Richard. Just to name a few. Also, his clothing has made features in Elle Vietnam and Vogue Italia. His collections were more so structured with padded shoulders and exaggerated waist lines.

Other designers included Closet by Christobal, Andrew Nowell, Blanca Rachelle, Ke Collection and Cory Couture.
Here are just a few more pics of some their collections:
|
Suit by: Andrew Nowell I hope I'm not the only one who thought this dude resembles Chris Brown. Am I right? |
|
Black on black on black... I love his fro! |
|
I thought Blanca Rachelle's collection were fairy and whimsical like. There were neutral, nude color and sheer chiffon material used. |

Cory Couture: A unique couture line created by Cory Dung Tran. He is a rising designer who makes extravagant pieces from wedding to ballroom gowns with a touch of Vietnamese design. |

Now that's some real couture right here. That side eye, though. The stare she is giving looks lethal and fierce! |
I wish there were more pics to share but this is where I say "That's all folks!" I do have a video, which I am still adding a few more touches to and will post soon enough. Any how, thanks for stopping by the blog. Feel free to comment on which designers collection, you think you would probably see yourself in.
What will be your favorite trend for fall? Lastly, if you were at Philly Fashion Week which one was your favorite designer (Ready to wear or Couture)?
Can't wait to hear from you all soon!
