What Would You Wear With Your Doc Martens?

Dr. Martens boot in black.
These are my timberland boot replacement.
Comfy and not as heavy weighted as I thought it was going to be.
Outfit of choice with Doc. Martens

Charlotte Russe: Navy blue wax racer-back tank.
Brass Chain Necklace from thrift store.
Ten25 Distressed Skinny Jeans

Studded detail on back pocket
NY&Co. Motorcycle leather jacket with removable sleeves.
Extra detail in the back. I was thinking about removing it, but for now it's staying right there !

I was hesitant on picking these with the yellow stitching. It will take some time for it to rub on me.
Ok times up! I like it.

What would you wear with your Doc Martens? And what do you like about them?

Church Girl In The Teal Blue Dress!

I'm back again with another outfit worn for Sunday morning service.
I know it's late, but I just had to get other priorities taken cared of before posting.
So here is my Sunday morning dress which was worn with a white blazer (not in picture will post next time!)

I love dresses, they make me wanna sing " Man, I feel like a woman !"
This summer I am really going for more color. I need to give my black dresses a break!

My style inspiration: Brandy!
This dress was worn with a thin silver belt and paired with a white clutch.

Shoes by Anne Michelle and clutch by Dior (given to me by my mom).

Don't let the pink toe nails distract you, keep your eyes on the shoes, keep your eyes on the shoe. lol!

Gumby and Kid 'N' Play Hair Cuts Are Back!

Photo from: Movieposter.com
I guess there is some truth to history repeating itself, especially when it comes to style and trends. This summer we are seeing some of the 90's throwbacks hitting us right on top of our heads!
The popular Hi-top fade and the Gumby.
We've all seen these cuts from Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Big Daddy Kane to Kid N' Play.

Oh don't forget Gumby. I use to love watching that show. He was setting a trend back then too. I remember growing up in Brooklyn and the fellas use to always tell the barbers "Yo, hook me up with the Gumby!" Everywhere you go someones hair was either blocking your view. Sometimes, it was necessary. Heck, when the sun was out I knew where I could get some shade. lol!
Fast forward and this throwback has made its comeback. Now B-ball players like Brandon Jennings and  Nerlens Noel are sporting them.

Even the ladies got the Vanessa Huxtable/ Gumby going on now!

Now the question is would I rock this trend? Umm heavens nawh! This is what my face looks like right about now!
I really would have to be on something to do that. It's just not my kind of look. But I'm sure it looks great on some women, just not on me. Besides, with the length and amount of hair I have it would probably end up looking like this:
Or this:
I definitely don't want to end up looking like no Don King on the streets. I'll just leave it to the ones who find it more suitable to them. Its cute and all like I said before on some people just not on me. Any who, do you think this style should be a comeback or a throw it back all the way back?

Can't Drink Out Of This Straw-BAG!

While cleaning and organizing my closet, I stumbled across a bag I thought I would never find since I had moved from NY 7 years ago. I was surprised that it was still in good shape.
I honestly thought I lost it when I moved or threw it out. But I'm glad I found it and it's still here. My red straw bag!
Since summer is near, I believe that straw bags will be out on the scene again. A come back or a please hide that? I vote come back! Well at least this one.

Now I remember why I first got the bag,  it was the handle, color and how it was intricately woven plus it can hold my bible and other books. Oh one more thing, the design inside the bag.
Peek-A-Boo!
Got it at OLD NAVY, now you know I didn't pay that much for it.
(Hey don't judge the nail, yes it's glitter polish from the 99 cents store)
I thought this Dolce& Gabbana bag was FLY, but man it is so expensive. ($2,425.00). It was one of the features on the runway of Dolce & Gabbana 2012 Spring collection themed show. Umm, I think I'll stick to Old Navy's pricing instead, thank you!
Here is what I paired my bag with:
Shoes: Micheal Kors (thrifted), Dress: Pretty Girl store in BKLYN
