I was so excited when I heard that there was going to be a natural hair show in town.
I've always wanted to attend and waited for Philly to have one.

Yeeesss that's what I'm talking about. It finally came! Source: heyitspresley |
I was a little late on purchasing my ticket for Saturday. Okay, I was late! I should have purchased them online as soon as it came to mind, but that didn't happen. Next thing you know, tickets were sold out. (Womp, womp!)
But hold up!
Hey!
The event took place at the Sheraton Hotel. It was filled with great music and beautiful people, wearing their crown of glory in double strand twist, twist outs, afro, coiffed cuts, curls, colored loc/dreads and braids. All textures. All styles. All shapes and sizes.
It was a great sight to see. Even the little ones, adorned with flowers, bows and beads in their hair, came out to show off their adorable hairstyles. Transitioners and those with extensions as their protective styles, were present as well.
There were vendors available with unique and wonderful items and products for purchase. Filling the room, were lines of tables with accessories that were handcrafted or painted, organic body butters, hair moisturizers, curl definers, oils and so much more . Workshops were packed with informative presentations on the maintenance and growth of natural hair, hairstyles for locs and children hair.
Sadly, I did miss the hair fashion show at the end, but I did get some shots some beautiful manes. Enjoy!
I had some friends tag along. My friend and her little sis. We are wearing our protective style: BRAIDS!
